LEARN ABOUT MY WHY

I created this practice because I believe therapy should feel human and honest, especially when we’re talking about sex, intimacy, and the parts of ourselves that feel most vulnerable.
Meet Bella Spognardi
LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER IN COLORADO AND ILLINOIS
I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work and later became a Certified Holistic Sex Therapist (CHST) through the Institute for Sexuality Education and Enlightenment (ISEE), where I completed a two-year post-graduate training to deepen my work in sexuality, intimacy, and the mind–body connection.
Early in my career, I worked with individuals impacted by domestic violence and crisis. That experience exposed me to complex trauma and shaped the way I understand attachment, survival patterns, and the ways our bodies hold what we’ve lived through. Over time, I became increasingly fascinated by how those patterns show up in relationships, and especially in sex.
I later spent three years at a group practice specializing in couples and sex therapy, deepening my work with desire, relational conflict, identity, and intimacy. My approach is holistic and deeply integrative, grounded in attachment, nervous system awareness, and the belief that the body holds essential information about how we love, protect, and connect.

How I show up with you
I don’t hide behind neutrality or perform professionalism. I show up grounded and present, not above you and not pretending to have all the answers. I pay attention to the energy in the room, the moments you speed up or go quiet, the places your body shifts before your words do.

My work is holistic and deeply integrative. I’m holding attachment, nervous system patterns, relational history, and your present-day reality all at once. We move at a pace that allows insight to land in your body, not just your intellect.

This isn’t about perfect language or quick breakthroughs. It’s about building awareness, strengthening self-trust, and creating change that feels steady rather than forced.

The human behind the work
When I’m not in session, you’ll usually find me with my pug, Bucatini, moving on my yoga mat, or spending time with the people I love.
I’m committed to my own growth and reflection, just as I ask my clients to be. I’m in my own therapy. I’m navigating relationships, change, and uncertainty. I’m practicing what it means to stay present and be human.
I don’t believe therapists are separate from the work. I believe we’re living it too.
